A Yeshiva Without Walls:
YU's Global Kollel Initiative

Yeshiva University is the educational and spiritual fountainhead of modern Orthodox Judaism. Mandated to educate and train students, it also brings the talent and resources of some of the world's most distinguished rabbinical scholars to Jewish communities near and far.

Recently, YU has launched its newest and most exciting community project - the YU Global Kollel Initiative: 'The Yeshiva Without Walls.' This endeavor brings vibrant year-round Torah study to Jewish communities worldwide through intensive Torah study and innovative programming that creates a non-judgmental environment for Jews of varied backgrounds to explore their Jewish heritage. Initiatives like this are part of YU's "spiritual peace corps," building and strengthening communities and helping them engage with Torah, Madda, and Medinah.

Currently, the Yeshiva University Global Kollel Initiative has programs in Boca Raton, FL; Dallas, TX; HAFTR/Cedarhurst, NY; and Baltimore, MD and plans are underway to begin new programs in several more communities in the coming years.
