Counterpoint

Counterpoint is a school-based, informal educational program. The program model is based on the seminar/shabbaton model that has been so successful and popular in the United States. The goal of Counterpoint is to challenge students intellectually with thought provoking and emotionally driven programs. The programs, which are usually conducted in a retreat site, create an atmosphere where music, singing and dancing plays an integral role in enhancing an emotional and spiritual passion for Judaism. Counterpoint utilizes cutting edge modern technology, such as video imaging and PowerPoint presentations, in order to engage students.

Past Counterpoint programs have primarily been designed for high school students (ages 15-18), but the program has been adapted for younger children (ages 10-15) as well.
